O God, You have redeemed my hope!
You have effortlessly swooped me up
Unrooting me from the thicketly mire
Obliterating blood-stained obsidian strongholds
Eviscerating spires that imposed a strength
As if boasting tendrils entwined with
The very foundations of the world
But Christ, the cosmos could not endure Your resurrection.
Sin, death, and Hades ( were / are / will be ) swept away
By the power, glory, redemption,
incredulous nature, and overwhelming majesty
of the vict'ry of the Lamb.
How foolish we are to fear the shadow of
that which hasn't stood for 2,000 years.
There is a King, and His robes are marble,
and His sash is brimming, and His eyes are flaming gold,
and His sword humors no mortal.
And we are loved by Him.
So let us simply ( kneel / sit / lay ) at His feet,
and have `ears to hear` for His every Word.
